interface II

So we're into the sixth version of my blog after the last version hung around for a year or so.

Now, a bit of info on this image. This photo was taken one lovely spring afternoon, featuring the iconic Old Well from the UNC Chapel Hill campus. I would like to think of this image as a tribute to my time in UNC Chapel Hill, the awesome friends I made and the memories I now hold dear.

A milestone in my life indeed.

I've dropped the tagboard cos its useless and taking eons to load. But thanks to Angela who helped me set it up, I still do like and will miss the pink interface.

So yeah, it's the sixth one you fellas!

Yours.

The big broad studying desks, the solemn environment, the countless students, the laptop glaring back at me - all very familiar aspect signalling to me that the finals are impending, only now I'm halfway around the world (but still, as always, trying to study).

The spring semester ended with a blast on Friday and what a liberation it was. Coupled with the awesome weather, it was, possibly, one of the happiest days of my life. Strolling across the lawns, lying down on the luscious grass while food and bands blared out all around us made me realize that though this is the end, nobody would leave without a bang.

I saw the Singaporeans out in full force and I didn't know why I was filled with such a genuine happiness seeing them. Not that I don't usually feel glad seeing them, but perhaps the realization that we've made it through the semester together elevated my emotions.

Spending the night chatting away, I count myself lucky to be in the midst of such great company and new found friends I know will last a lifetime.

It was a happiness I never quite felt before - one etched so firmly into my mind that I'll hardly ever forget this day.

Summer is once again creeping up into our lives. Lazy days in the humid heat, flip flops on the streets, long dinners that stretch till late - all that I love summer for.

I wonder how life would be like as we move on from this lovely place, and how our lives would ever cross back home.

Summer is always about possibilities and some hope leftover from Spring, and maybe that's why I love it so much - it allows me to dream with less expectation of what is to come. And perhaps, we don't feel so sad this way.
