So we're into the sixth version of my blog after the last version hung around for a year or so.
Now, a bit of info on this image. This photo was taken one lovely spring afternoon, featuring the iconic Old Well from the UNC Chapel Hill campus. I would like to think of this image as a tribute to my time in UNC Chapel Hill, the awesome friends I made and the memories I now hold dear.
A milestone in my life indeed.
I've dropped the tagboard cos its useless and taking eons to load. But thanks to Angela who helped me set it up, I still do like and will miss the pink interface.
So yeah, it's the sixth one you fellas!
Yours.

Click here for Jurong Lake District Video
When I saw this video for Jurong Lake District, I was more impressed than skeptical, as I usually am for urban developments in Singapore. (It takes a million years to load but its worth it I tell you.) Mixed land use, pedestrainization, waterfront features, seamless connection by foot or train - all aspects of new urbanism happening at my doorstep.
What I really liked:
The seamless connection from the ticket level of Jurong East MRT Station to the adjacent transport/retail building to the existing town centre to the Lakeside Village where the current Science Centre now stands.
The re-use and conversion of the Science Centre building into part of the Lakeside Village.
The fact that everything new blends in, complements and synthesizes with the current buildings.
What I didn't understand:
The presence a hot air balloon the video which I am definitely sure will not be a feature in real life.
I can't believe it - Jurong Lake District - this is my home.
